Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee applies to the full order value including shipping. If you charge $5 for shipping, Etsy takes $0.33 of that in transaction fees.
Offsite Ads is mandatory for sellers with over $10K in annual sales and charges 12% on those sales. Under $10K it's optional at 15%. Factor this into pricing if opted in.
Etsy's listing fee of $0.20 renews every time a listing sells (for multi-quantity items). It's a small cost but adds up for high-volume sellers.

For sellers opted into Offsite Ads (mandatory over $10K annual sales), an additional 12–15% applies to sales driven by Etsy's offsite advertising. When all fees are stacked, Etsy takes between 9.5% and 25% of a sale depending on whether Offsite Ads applies. Accurate profit calculation is critical before pricing your products.
